Well apparently not everyone thinks of it this way. There seems to be a certain group of people especially women who believe that they are too "clever" to want kids.
A lot of them feel having kids would deter them from succeeding in their chosen fields of endeavor. They see kids as tedious jobs they cant afford to handle and obstacles to their success.
Some others just feel they don't have maternal instincts or gene in them i.e they were never meant to have kids.
Its not my place to judge but i think its quite selfish not to want at least a kid because someone gave birth to these people who think this way. Also i must add that kids do not deter women with strong will to succeed from doing so.
To me a real successful woman is one who excels in all spheres of her life and that includes family and kids and her ability to make them useful individuals in the society.
